NAKARMA was built from a simple idea—movement should feel good, make sense, and be something you actually want to come back to.
For years, the gym felt like a chore. Intimidating, inconsistent, and easy to walk away from. Like many, I signed up, didn’t go, and started again more times than I can count.
Everything shifted when I found clinical and mat Pilates in 1996.
It was different—considered, intelligent, and something that worked with my body, not against it. Best of all, I loved it!!
When we moved to the Bay in 2015, I couldn’t find a space that reflected that experience. So in 2020, we built one.
A space to move well.
A space to feel comfortable.
A space to build strength that lasts.
